Volunteers needed this Saturday (29th April) for a BBC community project in Slough
The Plot begins ......this Saturday in Slough. It's BBC Berkshire's newest community project that will see a summer of gardening related programming and community involvement in Slough.
BBC Radio Berkshire is joining forces with The Seeds Trust, Slough and Eton School and Slough Borough Council to encourage hundreds of people to get into gardening this summer.
We will be running free workshops, involving schools and making a radio drama series this summer.
The focus of the project is our "Plot" on the Ragstone Road allotments, where we will have a broadcast shed!
This Saturday we are launching the project live on the Jim and Jules show and are recruiting volunteers to get the plot ready so we can give rows to community groups and charities. We already have ten groups who have signed up but are still looking for more, so if you would like to take a small row to grow veg and herbs please let us know. All seeds and tools will be provided.
If you would like to find out about the project or volunteer to help then please call Victoria at BBC Radio Berkshire on 0845 900 1044
