Assalamu alaikum.

I am hoping there may be someone out there who can point me in the right direction.
I was born a muslim and am embaressed to say I reached a point where I was Muslim only by name. Alhamdulillah a few years ago I questioned my faith as I needed to know where I stand and found that I couldnt fault Islam. I have been practising ever since.
However I think I am missing a spiritual experience. This idea was stirred after watching a BBC2 documentry "the retreat". I need to look into Sufism.
Is there any organisations/ people that can help me? I live in Manchester.

sallam
im a sister who goes to zikir in nelson, but i live in keighley, anyone know anything near to me? i do enjoy the one in nelson like, but thats ust held at the end of every month. Im very interested in sufism.
I just converted a few month ago, though my dads been converted years, hes been taking me to the zikir. Ive just started reading the quoran, and got a martin lings book on muhamed, has ive learnt its important to fully love you prophet by knowing about him.
Ive read pearls and corals too, by kabbani, thats helped me sort my head out alot! also ordered a few more books, like one on sufi women.
id like to ascossiate more with sufi women, i dont know any. i want to learn by talking to people, not just sat at home reading books.
asalamu alaykum
