Firstly to resolve all hardship and problems one needs a Sufi Shaykh one needs to join a Tariqah by taking Bayah (no ifs or Buts about that) which is more important then any other problem one has really. Because we are all facing major problems today and are in need of spiritual barakah and of a REAL SUFI Master and there are only a few Real ones around that can help with Duas/ Wazeefa's please read about our Shaykh,

a sister that is having many issues is her life so this was given to help ease the pain of her past personal pains and abuses!

Read this 40 times a day -Durood / salawat of Deliverance or Durood Tunjina to most :-

Allahumma salli ‘ala sayyidina Muhammadin
O Allah bless our Master Muhammad
salatan tunjina bi-ha min jami‘i-l-ahwali wa-l-afat
so that by this prayer You will deliver us from all fears and evils,

Wa taqdi lana biha jami‘i-l-hajat
that You will satisfy all of our needs,

Wa tutahhiruna biha min jami‘i-s-sa’iyat
that You will cleanse us of all our impurities,

Wa tarfa‘una biha ‘ala-d-darajat
that You will raise us to the highest levels,

wa tuballighuna biha aqsa-l-ghayati min jami‘i-l-khayrati
and that You will bring us to the ultimate of all goodness

fi-l-hayati wa ba‘ada-l-mamat
in this life and after death.

this needs to be read 40 times very day and there is some other small protective duas, This is really one of the Duroods of this Time honestly it is, why at the end of Time Duas will NOT be answered and Barakah will go, so the secret of the end of Time is in two things salawat ala Rasul or Durood shareef in Urdu and Istighfar, and Hamza Yusuf has mentioned this also in a talk he gave.!

As for Salawat ala Rasul the most powerful book is the dalail al Khayrat

The other book of barakah which has the secrets of Healing power is the Burdah Shareef the famous poem.

There is a CD title '17 benefits of Fitna - Tribulation' by Sidi Hamza Yusuf and what is discussed is the Barakah of Allahs Mercy and Hikam in Fitna, if it was not for this problems we are facing many people wouldn't have turned to Islam for answer and do extra or start ibaadah , Stop and reflect, think about.... (Post 6 has all 17 benefits of Fitna - Tribulation)

Just stop now and think about your problems and the fact you area now doing Ibadaah would you being do ibadaah with sincerity if it wasn't for your problems. No is the answer so that in that is a Blessing.

Stop and think about that for a minute
With Silence and reflection is wisdom Inherited say the Wise

and thats just one of this mercies the others being Sins will be Purged through Affliction and they will be No Hisab-accounting on the day of Accounts for those people who were Sabr-patience and turned to Allah and only gave compliant s to Allah via Dua .

and they will enter Jannah because of there Suffering. Believing in Allah is part of our Aqeedah so is our destiny, we say '...i believe in the Good and Bad of Destiny...' the two examples are Sayyid Ayyub and this suffering and the Imam Hussain and this suffering certain things are written in our Destiny that we cant control or change this requires Patience and PURE trust in Allah -Tawwakkal.!

many of us are not religious not until a suffering or pain of life hits us, (and this is how Allah brings us close to him) others are by the grace of Allah, these are the real ones. how many of would really done Ibadah with Tears coming down of cheeks in a state of happiness! food for thought.

finally i will have to give her one other:
Salawat below which is for healing salawat/Durood Shifa for healing prayer

Allahumma salli ‘ala sayyidina Muhammadin
O Allah convey Your Peace to our master Muhammad

wa ‘ala ali Muhammadin
and the family of Muhammad

tibbi-l-qulubi wa dawa’iha
bless him, who is the medicine and remedy for our hearts,

wa ‘afiyati-l-abdani wa shifa’iha
the health and healing of our bodies,

wa nuri-l-absari wa ziya’iha
and the light and radiance of our eyes

wa sahbihi wa-s-sallim
and bless his companions with peace.

Secrets of Allah's Mercy in forgiving sins though Hardship/Tribulations

A person's life goes through alternating periods of happiness and dismay, strength and weakness, wealth and poverty, health and sickness, etc. A true believer is one who maintains a clear level of Iman-faith throughout the worldly fluctuation. He continues to remember Allah and ascribe the bounties to Him; and he turns to Him in submission, asking for relief from his affliction.

This is described in a tradition "Indeed amazing are the affairs of a believer ! They are all for his benefit; If he is granted ease of living he is thankful; and this is best for him. And if he is afflicted with a hardship, he perseveres; and this is best for him."

"Certainly, We shall test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient - those who, when afflicted with calamity say, "Truly to Allah we belong, and truly to Him shall we return." it is those who will be awarded blessings and mercy from their Lord; and it is those who are the guided ones." [2:155-157]

Holy saying of Allah‘ Oh Son of Adam if you are patient and sacrificed for Allah's reward when you receive the first shock of an affliction I wouldn't accept less than Paradise for you as a reward for you.

So a believer needs to display patience and submission during sickness and hardships, hunger, or other afflictions. And shows gratitude and thankfulness for all the wonderful blessings that Allah grants him.

Prophet Ayoub (Job) told his wife when she asked him to ask Allah for a relief from his sickness, I'm shy from my God to ask him because I haven't spent in this difficult situation except a short time if compared to the time I was in good.

Hardships Benefit the Believer
Allah has decreed that, in this life, hardships and disasters strike both believers and non-believers. For a non-believer, they are inconveniences that hinder him from proceeding with his normal involvement in the worldly life.

For a believer, on the other hand, they are instances of rest and remembrance, tests that promise great rewards, and indications of atonement and expiation/pardoning of sins. Regardless of how little is the harm that strikes a believer, it carries with it good news of forgiveness and elevated rank in heaven. The righteous predecessors used to be pleased when a hardship afflicted them, seeing it as a token of Allah's forgiveness and benevolence.

Verily with every difficult situation there is a relief. 94:6

Reward of Sins and Sign of Allah's Love
Some traditions say ‘Hardships continue to befall a believing man and woman in their body, family, and property, until they meet Allah burdened with no sins.'

The amount of reward is in accordance with the amount of suffering. When Allah loves some people, He tries them with affliction. He who then is content with Allah's decree has achieved the acceptance of Allah, and he who is dissatisfied (with Allah's decree) will attain the anger of Allah. Whenever Allah wills good for a person, He subjects him to adversity.

Tradition “The parable of a believer is that of a fresh and moist plant; the wind tilts it this way and that way; and so is the believer; he continues to be subject to affliction. And the parable of a hypocrite is that of a firm cedar tree; it does not shake - until it is uprooted all at once."

Trial:
Trial is not disliked in itself but the result of it is disliked. If one is patient and tolerant under trial then he succeeded in this trial. This is what's liked in Trials. Allah almighty knows all our characteristics before he put us under Trials but these tests are for people to test and take example from one another.

Now, as for man, when his Lord trials him, giving him honours and gifts, then he says, (puffed up), "My Lord has honoured me. "But when he trials him, restricting his subsistence for him, then he says (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" 89:15-16

what are Allah's blessings
Blessing wouldn't be considered an honouring from Allah to His servant unless Allah gives him the ability to behave wisely in it. Allah's right in the blessing is for us to praise Him for it.

Affliction are by Ranks of Righteousness
The prophets and righteous people are afflicted the most, and their rewards are the highest. Tradition "The most in their suffering among the people are the prophets, then the best, then the (next) best, one is afflicted in accordance with his Deen- religion . If his deen- religion is firm his affliction is hard, and if his deen- religion is weak, his affliction is light. Indeed, one would be so much subjected to adversity until he walks among the people without any sins."

Tradition "When Allah wills good for a servant of His, He speeds up his punishment in this life; and when He wills retribution for a servant of His, He holds his sins for Him to judge him by them on the Day of Resurrection."

Two Kinds of trials:
Trial that servants have no hand in them and Trial that the servants have hands in them. We have tried them with both prosperity and adversity: in order that they might turn (to Us). 7:168

Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return" 2:156

The reasons that lead for being tolerant when hardships happen:
1. To believe it is from Allah and people have nothing to do with it. Now await in patience the Command of they Lord: for verily the art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of they Lord the while thou stands forth. 52:48

2. To lean on Allah and return things to Him.

And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion. 56:3

Every soul shall have a taste of death: and We test you by evil and by good by way of trial. To Us must ye return. 21:35

3. To know that Allah chose you for this test. Those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" ‘For Allah is with those who are patient.'

4. Allah's knowledge of your conditions.

5. To know that it's given from Allah.

6. Allah after testing you with hardships would ease them on you because you would return to Him with prayers and asking.

Tradition ‘If some body faced difficulties in life let him say - we are for Allah and to him we will return. In you I content myself in this difficulty, oh Allah give me refuge from it and replace me better than it.'

7. Patience inherit satisfaction.

8. To feel closeness to Allah at times of hardship.

‘Or, who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed! 27:62

9. To know that you have gained good rewards for this patience.

10. To know that comfort and ease come along with hardships and difficulties.

‘Verily with every difficult situation there is a relief.' 94:6

In fact only through affliction are ranks distinguished and their stations determined and everyone is in Levels or Ranks, and it is by those levels or ranks of understanding do we react to the hardship that befalls us.

What does this mean: ranks distinguished and their stations determined.

But many of us just complain and whine which can amount to lack of Iman-faith. As the Essentials of iman ( Iman Mufassal) are seven (7) basic Islamic faith not believing in one of these essentials and a person remains outside the fold of Islam.

Iman Mufassal:
amantu bil-lahi wa mala'ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi walyaukil-akhir' wal-qadri khairihi wa shar-rihi minal-lahi ta'ala wal-ba'thi, ba'dal-maut.
(I affirm my faith in Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, the day of judgment, in that the fate good and bad is predetermined by Allah and in coming to life after death (resurrection
).

Taking ‘wal-qadri khairihi wa shar-rihi= the fate good and bad is predetermined by Allah.’ So we are told that part of our iman=faith is to accept the good and the bad which are already predetermined by Allah and that ‘..We test you by evil and by good by way of trial...’ 21:35.

So why do we whine so much, this is simply a lack of Adaab-manners and Iman on our part, when we should be in rejoicing that Allah is testing us (why be happy, because our sins are be purged away preparing us to be even closer to entering Jannah) and Allah is opening our spiritual maqam-station. And explains the meaning of ‘ranks distinguished and their stations determined’.

But for the complainers they get no such reward just pains and fall into depression and even their good actions can be taken away from them, when such times demands we do ibaadah and taste the sweetest of dua and humility.

Why can our goods actions be taken, because fighting with Qadr=destiny is Allah, the question we ask is who knows better us or Allah. Islam does not mean peace but to surrender to accept. We must accept there is Wisdom in hardships that came our way and need to understand it all good even the bad that happens is all good as it all comes form Allah as a source of his Mercy and sometimes is a form to cleanse us of our bad actions.

I can only end with this verse;
And be patient in hardship:
for, verily, God is with those who are patient in hardship.
Al-Anfal 8:46

Thus If a servant understands these matters then he would be the most patient. And one of Allah's 99 names is As-Sabur O Patience.

Ya Saburu -O Patience one!-relief from troubles or confusion, to be read 3000 times ! -see note at bottom

If you are completely perplexed and in straits,
have patience, for patience is the key to joy.
Rumi, Mathnawi

=======================================
Ya Saburu -Sufic commentary of as-Sabur From The Most Beautiful Names of Allah meaning:
The Patiently- Enduring, The Most Restrained, The Long-Suffering –which is nothing

The One who is most patient, steadfast, and enduring. The One who is not moved by haste to carry out any action before it's proper time.

The One who patiently endures and does everything in its proper time and proper manner, no matter how long that may take.

The One who patiently accomplishes each thing in its proper time, in the way it needs to be and according to what it requires.

From the root s -b-r which has the following classical Arabic connotations:
to be patient, to be enduring
to endure trial or affliction with good manner
to be contented in trial or affliction without show of complaint
to make no distinction between comfort and affliction
to bear calmly, to persevere cheerfully
to be steadfast, constant
to restrain, confine, restrain, withhold from something

Mankind's share of this attribute is the bountiful reward bestowed upon those who patiently persevere in overcoming the trials, lusts and errors of this world.

Sheikh Tosun Bayrak writes of al-Sabur:
The meaning of Islam is submission; to forego one's appetites, desires and will in the favor of the will of Allâh. To be able to submit, one has to be patient. In Islam, patience is a sign of faith...

Related names:
Halîm is the patience that arises from a sense of deep serenity, lenience, calm deliberation.
Sabur is the patience that arises by self-restraint, enduring something without complaint.

Give Sadqah -Shield from Balah 70 Problems will attack everyday

Personal Advise ( Nasiha) - extra recommendations (2)

Get a jar and every day put at lease 1p or more into it and have the intention for Sadaqah, one Dua I say from the Wird of the Shadhiliyyah I think its in the Hizb Fath or Hizb Nasr I think, any way it goes like this, 'Audhbillahi min jaddil-Balah' - O Allah protect me from the struggle of Balah- Balah is problems of every kind from Big to small.

And it says that Sadqah is a Shield from Balah. 70 Problems will attack you everyday, this is the Shield for that (then donate this money once it becomes enough to someone in need or Islamic cause)

But Why everyday because each day is different and one needs a special shield for each day.

Personal hidden note:- If I miss Fajr pray I will double my Intention and try to give double; one for Sadaqah and one for missing the pray. Giving extra Sadaqah I'm wishing Allah tala will take it as compensation. For me sleeping to much and to compensate my soul with extra hasana to make up what I've lost already. As well as doing the pray late.

Why because I remember a story were a Sahabah used foul language and asked the Noble Prophet peace and blessing be upon him, How he could compensate himself. He was told to read, La-e-laha ill-lilah 100 times, because one of its secret is, it increase ones Iman.

Which is Extra Ibadah when one Slips/forgets (Ghafalah) with his Nafs - ego. And Giving Sadaqah is Ibadah. Also I TRY a few extra Astagh-firullahs as well. To balance my self for that day's forgetfulness.

Extra Note: try to give Qurbani - Sacrificing a Goat on Eid at the time of Hajj. Now one can easily send money to Pakistan or other poor counties were ones relatives live, to perform this. The Reward is for Every hair on its body you will be forgiven. Many hairs has a Goat? Millions or Billions. See how easy this reward is for you, his simple Sadaqah!

If you cant do it just have the Intention wishing you could. This is also give you reward remember as always Actions are by Intentions. So its your intention that will be rewarded not the action. Because Munafiquns-hypocrites that do Qurbani, get nothing. As they are too bust showing off there so-called good actions that will only curse them and take them into hell.

Yours Muhammad Sajad Ali (faqir of Tariqah Qadiri-Boutchichi)

Sadqah -Shield from Balah70 Problems will attack everyday

Seventeen Benefits of Tribulations of Sultani Uleman (Sultan of the Scholars) Izzuddin Abdul Aziz ibn Abdus Salam translation by Hamza Yusuf

Sultani Uleman (Sultan of the Scholars) Izzuddin Abdul Aziz ibn Abdus Salam was an Egyptian scholar who died in 660 AH. He was perhaps the only scholar that mastered both the maliki and hanifi madhabs.

The 17 benefits of tribulation are listed below:
1. You realize the power of Lordship over you.

2. You realize your object servanthood and your complete state of resignation and brokenness before the will and power of God.

3. Sincerity to God, one has no place of return in putting off or defending against the calamity except to Him. It makes you sincere because the muhsin is the one who call on God without any skirk. A moment of ikhlas in this world is enough to save a person.

4. He returns to God and suddenly is fervent in his desire of his Lord.

5. It leads to a humbled state before God and it leads to prayers (du’a), that you call on God.

6. You’re forbearing towards the One who has afflicted you.

7. You forgive the one who has wronged you.

8. To be patient during the tribulation.

9. To be happy about what’s happening because of those benefits.

10. To be grateful for it.

11. Purification that these calamities have towards peoples’ wrongs and sins.

12. Compassion that God enables you to show to people who are in tribulation and to help them.

13. Tribulation gives you the blessing of having true knowledge of the extent of well-being.

14. God has prepared rewards for the calamities that you’ve beared patiently or with contentment.

15. What is hidden inside the folds of these calamities are blessings.

16. Tribulations prevent you from arrogance.

17. Contentment. Tribulation afflect the good and the evil (people), whoever doesn’t like it, its on Him, he’s lost the dunya and the akhira. Those who are pleased with it, its because he knows it, because paradise is better than anything in this world and if these tribulations are what it takes for him to get to paradise, then he’s content with it.

Synopsis: We will all face trials and tribulations in our lives. The benefits of the test is not always the end-result but what happens in between. May our trials remove sins and make our journey to Jannah easier. May we be fortunate to face those trials in this life, Inshallah. May we come out of our trials with gratitude, humility, knowledge, sincerity and contentment, Inshallah. Ameen!

The Prophet Muhammed, upon him be peace, was someone who went through unparalleled hardship, and yet he never allowed any difficulties to perturb him. In one very powerful and condensed session, Hamza Yusuf explains why. Commenting on the treatise of the seventh century scholar Izz ibn Abdus-Salam, he reveals 17 benefits of tribulations for those who would see them. Not only will this lecture completely transform your outlook on calamities, but it will also leave you in total awe of Allahs magnanimity and infinite mercy.

4.16. TURNING TO GOD WHEN EXPERIENCING A TRIAL
270 Another part of that is returning to God when experiencing trial (fitnah). God loves every repentant tested person. That is what the Messenger of God (pbuh) said. God Almighty said, "He created death and life to test which of you is best in action" (67:2). Affliction and testing have the same meaning. It is only a trial to test what a man claims. "It is only a trial (i.e. a test) by which You misguided those You willed (i.e. confused them) putting and guided those You willed (i.e. make the path of salvation clear to them in it)" (7:155).

271 The greatest trials are: women, wealth, children, and ambition. When God tests one of His servants by these four or by one of them, and he takes the position of the Truth in them in establishing them for God and returning to Him in them, and does not stop by the blessing itself, but accepts it as a divine blessing, then God blesses } him through it. So he returns it to Him and sets it upon the position of the due thankfulness which God commanded His Prophet Moses to J have. He said, "Moses, thank me with due thankfulness." Moses said, "0 Lord, what is due thankfulness?" He said, "Moses, when you see that the blessing is from me, that is due thankfulness." Ibn Majah mentioned it in his Sunan from the Messenger of God (pbuh).

272 When God forgave His Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) his former and later wrong actions, He gave him the good news of that when He I said, "So that God may forgive you your earlier errors and any later I ones" (48:2). So the Prophet stood until his feet were swollen to thank I God Almighty for that. He did not stop nor incline to rest. When he ;was asked about that and asked to be kind to himself he, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "Am I not a grateful servant?”

273 That is because He heard God say, "God loves the grateful If he had not been in the station of gratitude to the Blesser, he would miss this love from God (which is particular to this station, only obtained from God by someone who is thankful). God says, Very few of My servants are thankful- (34:13). If he misses it, he misses what it contains of knowledge of God, Self-disclosure, and the blessing particular to it in the Abode of Honour and the Slipping Heap of the Vision on the Day of the Immense Visit. Every Divine Love possesses its own particular quality of knowledge, Self-disclosure, blessing and stage. That must be why the one with that quality is distinct from others.

4.27. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT LOSSES

334 Do not worry about losses which God causes to your property and those of your family dear to you, which are customarily termed calamity and loss. Say, "We belong to God and to Him we return" when that happens to you. Say as Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "No affliction befell me but that I saw that God gave me three blessings in it. One blessing is that it was not a disaster to my faith. The second blessing is that it was not a greater one and so by it God averted a greater one. The third blessing is what God includes in it of the expiation we are commanded for our evil actions."

335 Know that in this world the believer experiences many losses because God desires to purify him so that he will meet Him pure and purified of the filth of acts of opposition committed in this world in which God has written that he must reside. The believer continues to suffer loss in his states in general. It is established by the Messenger of God (pbuh) in, "The metaphor of the believer is that of a fresh tender plant. No matter which direction the wind comes from, it bends and when the wind stops, it stands straight again until it is blown away."

The Moment
"The Moment" (waqt) is an expression for your state in time. The state does not attach itself to the past or the future. It is an existent between two non-existents. And if your Moment is the wellspring of your state, you are the son of your Moment, and your Moment determines what you are, because it is existent and you are nonexistent, you are illusory and it is affirmed. If your Moment is obedience, and the contemplation proper to servitude in every state, then you are one of the enduring. And if it is the opposite of that, then you are one of the ephemeral.

In the first case your Moment is closeness, and in the second case it is distance: In any case, the Moment will inevitably give you its experience. If your Moment is closeness, your experience is from the Presence of closeness; and if your moment is distance, your experience is from the Presence of distance. And whoever mourns over the past and fills the present moment with the past, he is one of those made distant. For he lets slip by what the current state demands, engrossed in what will not return. This is the essence of non-existence. And whoever occupies himself with the future is in the same state .

...And whoever mourns over the past and fills the present moment with the past, he is one of those made distant.
simply stop crying over split milk, as the saying goes.
For he lets slip by what the current state demands, engrossed in what will not return.
you can't get the milk back so stop wasting time with Moaning and whine and get no with the business of what needs to be done now.!

This is the essence of non-existence. And whoever occupies himself with the future is in the same state.

Stop thinking about the what is going to happen tomorrow, it hasn't happen yet and agin more time is wasted, when that time should be the business of doing dua's and asking for Allahs Mercy and help/. See below for Duas that really should be read and as a Wird-daily practice when is loss and troubled with worries and problems..

The Story of Ayyub (Job)

by Imam Ibn Kathir

Note Sayyiduna Ayyub Lost all his family (bar his wife) Lost all his wealth, Lost and his

Health. As this was his Test from Allah and remember he was a Prophet and look and learn from this Story.

there is a says that is Sabr-Ayyub .. he never complained because he know it all came from Allah. He was busy

with doing Dhikr and leaving his Hope in Allah.. from Muhammad Sajad Ali

Ibn Ishaaq stated that he was a man of Rum. His name was Job, Ibn Mose, Ibn Razeh, Ibn Esau, Ibn Isaac , Ibn

Abraham . Someone else said he was Job, Ibn Mose, Ibn Rimil, Ibn Esau, Ibn Isaac, Ibn Jacob. There have also

been other statements on his lineage. Ibn Asaker narrated that his mother was a daughter of Lot . It was said,

also, that his father was one who believed in Abraham when he was cast into the fire.

The first opinion is the most plausable, because he was a descendant of Abraham’s offspring as Allah Almighty

declared:

And that was Our proof which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise whom We will in degrees. Certainly

your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing. And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob, each of them We guided, and

before him, We guided Noah, and among his progeny David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron. Thus do We

reward the good-doers. Surah 6: 83-84

Allah the Almighty praised His worshiper Job in His Glorious Qur’an:

Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)!

Surah 38: 44

Job was repentant, remembering Allah with thankfulness, patience, and steadfastness. This was the cause of his

rescue and the secret of Allah’s praising him.

A group of angels were discussing Allah’s other human creatures, how those who were humble earned Allah’s

pleasure, while those who were arrogant incurred His displeasure. One of the angels remarked: ‘The best

creature on earth today is Job, a man of noble character who displays great patience and always remembers his

Generous Lord. He is an excellent model for the worshipers of Allah. In return, his Lord has blessed him with a

long life and plenty of riches, yet he is never haughty or selfish. His family, his servants, as well as the

needy and the poor share in his good fortune; he feeds and clothes the poor and buys slaves to set them free.

He makes those who receive his charity feel as if they are favoring him, so kind and gentle is he.”

Iblis, overhearing all this, became annoyed. He planned to tempt Job to corruption and disbelief, so he

hastened to him. He tried to distract Job from his prayers by whispering to him about the good things in life,

but Job was a true believer and would not let evil thoughts tempt him. This disturbed Iblis more; thus he began

to hate Job even more.

Iblis complained to Allah about Job. He said that although he was continuously glorifying Allah, he was not

doing so out of his sincerity but to satisfy Allah so that his wealth should not be taken away. It was all a

show, all out of greed. “If You remove his wealth then You will find that his tongue will no longer mention

Your name and his praying will stop.”

Allah told Iblis that Job was one of His most sincere devotees. He did not worship Him because of the favors;

his worship stemmed from his heart and had nothing to do with material things. But to prove to Iblis the depth

of Job’s sincerity and patience, Allah allowed him to do whatever he and his helpers wished with Job’s wealth.

Iblis was very happy. He gathered his helpers and set about destroying Job’s cattle, servants, and farms until

he was left with no possessions.

Rubbing his hands in glee, Iblis appeared before Job in the guise of a wise old man and said to him: “All your

wealth is lost. Some people say that it is because you gave too much charity and that you are wasting your time

with your continuous prayers to Allah. Others say that Allah has brought this upon you in order to please your

enemies. If Allah had the capacity to prevent harm, then He would have protected your wealth.” True to his

belief, Job replied: “What Allah has taken away from me belongs to Him. I was only its trustee for a while. He

gives to whom He wills and withholds from whom He wills.” With these words, Job again prostrated to his Lord.

When Iblis saw this, he felt frustrated, so he again addressed Allah: “I have stripped Job of all his

possessions, but he still remains grateful to You. However, he is only hiding his disappointment, for he places

great store by his many children. The real test of a parent is through his children. You will then see how Job

will reject You.” Allah granted Iblis authority, but warned him that it would not reduce Job’s faith in his

Lord nor his patience.

Iblis again gathered his helpers and set about his evil deeds. He shook the foundation of the house in which

Job’s children were living and sent the building crashing, killing all of them. Then he went to Job disguised

as a man who had come to sympathize with him. In a comforting tone he said to Job: ‘The circumstances under

which your children died were sad. Surely, your Lord is not rewarding you properly for all your prayers.”

Having said this, Iblis waited anxiously, hoping Job was now ready to reject Allah. But again Job disappointed

him by replying: “Allah sometimes gives and sometimes takes. He is sometimes pleased and sometimes displeased

with our deeds. Whether a thing is beneficial or harmful to me, I will remain firm in my belief and remain

thankful to my Creator.” Then Job prostrated to his Lord. At this Iblis was extremely vexed.

Iblis again called on Allah. “O my Lord, Job’s wealth is gone, his children are dead, but he is still healthy

in body, and as long as he enjoys good health he will continue to worship You in the hope of regaining his

wealth and producing more children. Grant me authority over his body so that I may weaken it. He will surely

neglect worshipping You and will thus become disobedient.”

Allah wanted to teach Iblis a lesson that Job was a devoted servant of his Lord, so He granted Iblis his third

request but placed a condition: “I give you authority over his body but not over his soul, intellect, or heart,

for in these places reside the knowledge of Me and My religion.”

Armed with this new authority, Iblis began to take revenge on Job’s body and filled it with disease until it

was reduced to mere skin and bone and he suffered severe pain. But through all the suffering Job remained

strong in his faith, patiently bearing all the hardships without complaining. Allah’s righteous servant did not

despair or turn to others for help but remained hopeful of Allah’s mercy. Even close relatives and friends

deserted him. Only his kind, loving wife stayed with him. In his hour of need, she showered her kindness on him

and cared for him. She remained his sole companion and comforter through the many years of his suffering.

Ibn Asaker narrated: “Job was a man having much wealth of all kinds: beasts, slaves, sheep, vast lands of Haran

and many children. All those favors were taken from him and he was physically afflicted as well. Never a single

organ was sound except his heart and tongue, with both of which he glorified Allah, the Almighty all the time

day and night. His disease lasted for a long time until his visitors felt disgusted with him. His friends kept

away from him, and people abstained from visiting him. No one felt sympathy for him except his wife. She took

good care of him, knowing his former charity and pity for her.”

Therefore, Iblis became desperate. He consulted his helpers, but they could not advise him. They asked: “How is

it that your cleverness cannot work against Job, yet you succeeded in misleading Adam, the father of man, out

of Paradise?”

Iblis went to Job’s wife in the form of a man. “Where is your husband?” he asked her. She pointed to an almost

lifeless form crumpled on the bed and said: ‘There he is, suspended between life and death.” Iblis reminded her

of the days when Job had good health, wealth and children. Suddenly, the painful memory of years of hardship

overcame her, and she burst into tears. She said to Job: “How long are you going to bear this torture from our

Lord? Are we to remain without wealth, children or friends forever? Why don’t you call upon Allah to remove

this suffering?” Job sighed, and in a soft voice replied: “Iblis must have whispered to you and made you

dissatisfied. Tell me, how long did I enjoy good health and riches?” She replied: “For eighty years.” Then Job

asked: “How long am I suffering like this?” She said: “For seven years.’’ Job then told her: “In that case I am

ashamed to call on my Lord to remove the hardship, for I have not suffered longer than the years of good health

and plenty. It seems your faith has weakened and you are dissatisfied with the fate of Allah. If I ever regain

health, I swear I will punish you with a hundred strokes! From this day onward, I forbid myself to eat or drink

anything from your hand. Leave me alone and let my Lord do with me as He pleases.”

Crying bitterly and with a heavy heart, she had no choice but to leave him and seek shelter elsewhere. In this

helpless state, Job turned to Allah, not to complain but to seek His mercy: “Verily, distress has seized me,

and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy.

So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that

he had lost), and the like thereof along with them - as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who

worship Us.” Surah 21: 83-84

Almighty Allah also instructed:

And remember Our slave Job, when he invoked his Lord (saying): “Verily! Satan has touched me with distress (by

losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)!” Allah said to him: “Strike the ground with your foot:

This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink.” And We gave him (back) his family, and

along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a reminder for those who understand. Surah 38: 41-43

Job obeyed, and almost immediately his good health was restored. Meanwhile, his faithful wife could no longer

bear to be parted from her husband and returned to him to beg his forgiveness, desiring to serve him.

On entering her house, she was amazed at the sudden change: Job was again healthy! She embraced him and thanked

Allah for His mercy. Job was now worried, for he had taken an oath to punish her with a hundred strokes if he

regained health, but he had no desire to hurt her. He knew if he did not fulfill the oath, he would be guilty

of breaking a promise to Allah. Therefore, in His wisdom and mercy, Allah came to the assistance of His

faithful servant, and advised him:

And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath.” Truly!

We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)!” Surah

38: 44

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad said: “While Job was naked,

taking a bath, a swarm of gold locusts fell on him, and he started collecting them in his garment. His Lord

called him: ‘0 Job! Have I not made you too rich to need what you see?’ He said: ‘Yes, 0 Lord! But I cannot

shun Your Blessings.”

Never Despair in the Mercy of Allah - Forgiveness: Islamic Perspective

'When Allah completed the creation, He wrote in His Book which is with Him on His Throne, 'My Mercy overpowers My Anger.'

Allah’s Forgiveness:
Allah is the most Forgiving. There are many names of Allah given in the Qur’an. Some of these names are related to His mercy and forgiveness. Let me mention some of these names.

al-Ghafoor: The most Forgiving
This name occurs in the Qur’an more than seventy times. There are other names from the same root, such as Ghafir and Ghaffar. The meaning of the “ghafara” is to cover, to hide and from it comes the meaning “to excuse”, “to pardon”, “to remit” and “to forgive”. Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala does all these things. In the Qur’an, it is mentioned that Allah does not forgive shirk (without repentance) but He may forgive every other sin for whomsoever He wills. (al-Nisa’ 4:116) We must turn to Allah to seek His forgiveness.

al-’Afuw: This is another aspect of forgiveness
This name occurs in the Qur’an five times. Literally the word ‘Afw means “to release” “to heal”, “to restore”, “to remit”. Thus in relation to Allah it means “to release us from the burden of punishment due to our sins and mistakes”, “to restore our honor after we have dishonored ourselves by committing sins and making mistakes.” Sometimes in the Qur’an both names: ‘Afuw and Ghafoor come together.

al-Tawwab: The Acceptor of repentance
This name of Allah is mentioned in the Qur’an about 11 times. Allah accepts the repentance of those who sincerely repent and turn to him. The word “tawwab” gives the sense of “oft-returning” which means that Allah again and again accepts the repentance. We make sins and mistakes then we repent, He accepts our repentance. Then again we commit sins and make mistakes and when we repent, He again very kindly accept us and gives us another chance.

al-Haleem: The Clement
This name is mentioned fifteen times in the Qur’an. This means that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala is not quick to judgment. He gives time. He forebears and is patient to see His servant to return to Him.

al-Rahman and al-Rahim: The most Merciful and Compassionate
These names are the most frequently mentioned in the Qur’an. Al-Rahman is mentioned 57 times and al-Raheem is mentioned 115 times. al-Rahman indicates that Allah’s mercy is abundant and plenty and al-Raheem indicates that this is always the case with Allah. He is full of love and mercy and He is ever Merciful.

The Qur’an teaches that Allah is a Judge and He also punishes, but Allah is not bound to punish. The justice of Allah, according to Qur’an is that Allah does not and will not inflict undue punishment on any person. He will not ignore the good of any person. But if He wishes to forgive any sinner, He has full freedom to do that. His mercy is unlimited and His love is infinite.

There are many verses in the Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet -peace be upon him- on the love, mercy and forgiveness of Allah. In one of the prayers that the Prophet taught, he said, “O Allah, You are most Forgiving One, You love to forgive, so forgive me.” . We need Allah’s mercy and forgiveness all the time. It is wrong to assume at any time that one will find eternal salvation without the forgiveness of Allah.

Human Forgiveness in Islam:
Just as it is important to believe in the mercy and forgiveness of Allah, it is also necessary to base human relations on forgiveness. We cannot expect Allah’s forgiveness unless we also forgive those who do wrong to us. Forgiving each other, even forgiving one’s enemies is one of the most important Islamic teaching. In the Qur’an Allah has described the Believers as “those who avoid major sins and acts of indecencies and when they are angry they forgive.” (42:37) Later in the same Sûrah Allah says, “The reward of the evil is the evil thereof, but whosoever forgives and makes amends, his reward is upon Allah.” (al-Shura 42:40) In another place the Qur’an says, “If you punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith you were afflicted. But if you endure patiently, indeed it is better for the patient. Endure you patiently. Your patience is not except through the help of Allah." (16:126-127)

The extent to His mercy and more
Know the one story of the one that killed 100 men, its long so this is the short verse, he killed 100 men and asked for forgiveness, was told by a wise sage to go a place there he will find Allah's Mercy. But on his way he died, the angels came down to take his soul but they started to quarrel one says Jannah-(Heaven) the other saying Jahannam-(fire).

So they asked Allah. So Our Lord said, measure from were he came from to were he was going if its more than half-way enter into Heaven it its less than half-way enter him into Hell. So to two angel do so and they found he was only one step more than half way. So he entered Heaven .

Question did he do the act of forgiveness Answers NO?. he ONLY had the Intention for seeking forgiveness.

Remember you'll be judged on your Intention not your Actions and you're a Muslim until your last breath and even then Shaytan can come and put whispers into your heart and you could die in Kufr in your Last Breath in though you lived as a good Muslim.

Important note:Only Muslims will go into Jahannam, which is the lest of hells fires, the Kafirs will go into Nar-Hellfires, which is much more intents and more painful, Also the size of man will be that of Adam. 60 feet tall. The secret of the story is Allah ordered the Earth to became shorter for the killer, so he could show his Mercy to him.

Always have a high opinion of Allah , and Allah will have a High opinion you. Never say about someone, ‘O Allah will never forgive him, because he did this or that'. That statement is enough to put you into hell. Or to saying about yourself, ‘I've done so many Haram actions and bad sins Allah will never forgive me'.

Because Now you questioning the Mercy of Allah and its only this to give, the Most Generosity One, Most Merciful one Most Graciousness. So control ones Tongues about Allah Mercy. And if you think Allah is not Merciful he will not show his Mercy to you. ‘ I treat my slave the way he thinks of me ', or something like that.

Remember what the Quran says ‘ Don't give up/despair from the Mercy of Allah.

Just reflect on the above story of the Killer, and how Allah forgive him, and ask yourself what are my sins to his, he never asked forgiveness, but only had the intention, I'm pleading to my Lord Allahumma-O Allah, forgive me, do it with Sincere-ness and regret. In'shallah Allah will forgiven all sins Big or small (sex before marriage, gambling, Killing, stealing not praying, …) but its up to you to ask for this Mercy. Note: Allah says ‘I Don't get tried of forgiving you my slave, you get tried asking of my forgivingness. More something to those words.

There are other stories I know about Allah Mercy, but I don't want bore you too much, its enough to know the wisdom in them to encourage people never to have a bad opinion of people and be too judgemental and mainly I use them to encourage people to Pray, its never too late to Pray Salat to Allah even if you've left it for 20-40 years.

There is famous story of people going into Hell but stop and say ‘ O Allah you say your Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem, by these forgive me' , and they will enter Jannah.

The 100 Levels of Allah Almighty's Mercy

Verily, there are one hundred (parts of) mercy for Allah, and it is one part of this mercy by virtue of which there is mutual love between the people and ninety-nine reserved for the Day of Resurrection.

So we can only see 1/100 th of Allah Mercy on Earth but on the day of Judgment we will see 100 Parts of his Mercy. We read every Bis-millah-nir-Rahman nir-Raheem. 112 in the Quran it is Mentioned. Rahman is for this World. Raheem is for the Next World.

'Allah will not be Merciful to those who are not Merciful to mankind' So as Muslims we need to always be polite, humble, patient, loving and well mannered when he/she deals with others, whether they were Muslims or non-Muslims.

Repentance wipes out previous sins

Someone may say : I would like to repent, but what's the certainty that I'll be forgiven? I would like to change my ways but my mind is invaded by uncertainties. Were I to be sure of being forgiven surely I would repent. The Answer is, this thought is nothing new. It used to worry even the Companions of the Prophet , on whom be peace. Here are two instances.

The first is related by Imam Muslim, may Allah have mercy on him, the story of 'Amr b. al-'As . narrated by himself. Says he: "When Islam had taken root in my heart I went to the Prophet , on whom be peace, and said: 'Spread out your hand so that I may take pledge.' He thrust forward his right hand and I held it in mine (without taking the oath). He asked, 'What's the matter with you 'Amr?' I said, 'Well. I would like to make it conditional.' 'And what's the condition?' he asked. I said, 'That I be forgiven.' He said, 'Don't you know 'Amr that Islam wipes out previous sins... that hijrah wipes out previous sins... and that Hajj wipes out previous sins?' "

The second has also been preserved by Imam Muslim. He reports Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, as saying that some people of the pagans had committed many murders and had indulged in excessive adultery in the days of ignorance (that is prior to the appearance of the Prophet ). They came to the Prophet and said: 'What you offer, and call us to is quite appealing. But if you could only let us know if there is the possibility of atonement for our previous sins'. Allah, glorified be He, then revealed the verse "(The true servants of Allah are those) who do not call upon another god with Allah, who do not slay the soul Allah has forbidden, save by right, and do not adulterate. And whosoever does that, he shall(surely) meet the price of sin." (Al-Furqan:6Cool. Allah also revealed: "Tell them, O My slaves who have wronged their souls: 'Do not despair of Allah's mercy.' " (Al-Zumar:53).

Will Allah forgive me?
Sometimes a man asks: I would like to repent, but I have such a huge collection, and such a wide variety of evil deeds in my account that I do not know if Allah will forgive me.

Let me tell you in reply, my brother, that this is not your specific problem but that of many a young man who wants to repent his sins. Let me give you the example of a young man. He started his career of sin at a very early age. By the time he had reached seventeen years of his there was not a sin - major or minor - that he had not committed teeming up with people of all sorts - young and old. He had even committed indecencies with a little girl adding to the list of thefts committed on various occasions. Then he repented, began to do his tahajjud, fast every Monday and Thursday, and read the Qur'an after every morning Prayer. But, he used to ask, is this repentance acceptable (to Allah)?

Our Answer to him and to every sinner is that we should always turn to the Qur'an and sunnah to find out what they have to say about the problem at hand, and what is the cure and solution they offer. When we refer to the qur'an in this regard we find that Allah, glorified be He, tells us: "Tell them (O Muhammad ): 'O My slaves who have wronged their souls, do not despair of Allah's mercy, for Allah will forgive all the sins. He is indeed very Forgiving, very Compassionate, Turn to Him then, and obey Him (in all your affairs).'" (Al-Zumar:53,54). This then is the Answer which does not need further elucidation.

As for the thought that the sins are so numerous that Allah may not forgive them, it arises, first of all, from a lack of faith and knowledge of the magnitude of Allah's mercy. Secondly, it is because of the lack of appreciation of Allah's capability to forgive any number of sins. Thirdly, it indicates failure on the part of the penitent to come up with another important deed of the heart viz., "hope". And fourthly, it is lack of appreciation of the way in which repentance can wipe out sins. we shall therefore, discuss each of these points a little more in detail.

As for the first, it should be enough to quote Allah Himself who says: "My mercy has encompassed every thing." (Al-A'raf:56)

As for the second, a hadith qudsi should be enough to quote. Said the Prophet on whom be peace: "Says Allah, 'He who knows (and believes) that I forgive all sins, then I do forgive all his sins, and do not care - so long as he does not suggest partners unto Me." And the rule will be applied (continues the Prophet ) in the Hereafter."

As for the third, another hadith should offer the cure. The Prophet quotes Allah as having said: "Son of Adam! If your sins were to reach the limits of the sky, and then you seek My forgiveness, I shall forgive you, and I do not care. Son of Adam! If you will bring sins equal in volume to the earth and then you meet Me (on the day of Judgment) in the state that you would not have suggested partners unto Me, I shall give you in return forgiveness equal to the volume of the earth." And, as for the fourth, another hadith of the Prophet should be enough for the purpose. Said he: "He who repented is like him who has no sin on him."
