A brother asked about the miralces of Shaykh Ibrahim Niass (RA) so i wrote this:


Wa Alaykum As-Salam Ya Akhi,

The miracles of Mawlana Shaykh Ibrahim Niass (R.A.) are countless. You can hear of them all over West Africa. Soo many stories, soo many narrations, soo many extraordinary incidents. It was just yesterday for many people.

I was born after he had passed away, yet I don’t know where to start or where to end when talking of his Karamahs!

In fact, miracles are happening till today, like the many people who still see him! And that the sand from his grave is considered a cure from many diseases, and people flock to make Dua there.

His thousands of lines of poetry in praise of the Prophet (SAW), both the spiritual meanings of which and the Arabic wordings, are of the highest calibre.

The Countless number of people he brought into Islam and Tariqah itself was a miracle. Many of these did so after seeing him in dreams and visions.

His knowledge of the unseen and prediction of future events was also known. His Dua was a most answered one.

Even looking at his blessed face with love and faith was an eternal blessing, as he himself said.

There are numerous incidents of his visions of Rasul-Allah (S.A.W.) and Shaykh Ahmad Tijani (R.A.).

In fact, there are similar stories for Shaykh Ibrahim for most of the famous miracles recorded from previous saints, like controlling energy, matter, time, changing substances, and victory over enemies and their destruction.

One of his famous Karamahs was that he gave lectures at five different places at the same time!!!

And it is known that the Amir of Kano took Bayah from him in the Haram of Makkah after seeing the Kabah making tawaf of him (a sign that he was the Ghawth)!!!

It was enough honor for him that he was the Leader of the Great Spiritual Flood (Faydah) predicted by Sayyidina Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijani (R.A.). Indeed, no Wali was seen creating soo many Walis from his students like Shaykh Ibrahim!

As he himself said in one of his poems:

Qad Khassani bil’ilmi wat-Tasreefi
Iza Qultu ‘Kun’ yakun bila Tasweefi


He (Allah) gave me all knowledge and authority
If I say ‘be’, it will be without any delay


Anyways, there are enough stories of him abound and one is always hearing new ones, and I do not have the time to record these things right now.

What I mentioned should be enough.

May Allah bless the holy Soul of Shaykh al-Islam wa Ghawth al-Anam Mawlana Sahib-ul-Faydah Shaykh Ibrahim Niass, and may we always benefit from his secrets
