Dear beloved Syaikh Tijanimureed

I want to know what exactly the differences between a khalifah and a muqaddam mutlack (muqaddam with unlimited permission), i've read your posting about the differences (from Sheikh Umar Futi and Sidi Ghali). If there's a muqaddam mutlack, so theres another tittle of muqaddam which its not a mutlack?.

A brother in (e-mail) told me about a recitation of 20 times the Jawharatul Kamal, which he took from the Kashful Hijab of Sidi Skiredj (may Allah sanctify his precious secrets) page 200. Unfortunately i don't have the book, would you mind to post the merit of 20 times recitation the Jawharatul Kamal from the Kashful Hijab.

Thank you for your kindness.

Salaam Alaikum,

Greetings to all lovers of Allah and the Beloved Prophet (Sallahu alaihi wa Salim). Please brother. I am neither a shaykh or a scholar. I am only repeating what I have heard from the shaykhs and the scholars.

As emplained in the post on the differcence between a muqaddam and khalifa. There is great difference. A muqadam is someone who has permission to give the wids, zikr, and instructions of the tariqa. in the Tariqa Tijaniya as with some other turuq the muqadameen are divided into groups. You have some muqaddam who are authorized to give the tariqa to a beginner. You have some muqaddam who have authorization to appoint others as muqaddams, but with a limit of 4 or say 10 people. But the muqaddam al mutlaq is one who has no set limit on the amount of persons he may appoint as muqaddams.

The khalifa however is successor of the Shaykh. He is the one who has taken over as a DIRECT representation on who the Shaykh was after the Shaykh has passed or even in his lifetime. He trains as the shaykh did, instructs, trains, and has succeeded the Shaykh in position, teaching, and instruction. There may be more than one khalifah of the Shaykh. The same way the Beloved Prophet had many khulafa even till today.
The khalifah has succeeded the Shaykh in Zahir and Batin (Outer and Inner).

This is different from the muqaddams.

Forwards the quote of the Kashf Hijab. I will do more research on that quote from the famous book of Qadi Sidi Ahmad Sukharij.

But know that the main fadl that is mostly rewarding is the seventh recitation in which the Beloved Prophet and His four Khulafa will be present in their Ruh and Dhat.
The Jawhartu Kamal was given as a gift fom the Beloved Prophet to Shaykh Tijani in a state of wakefullness. This fadl is one of the rewards stated by Shaykh Tijani in which he receivd from Sidina Nabi'na Muhammad prayers and peace be upon him.

After the seventh recitaton He will be present with his four companions and Shaykh Tijani. Thats why in the daily wazifah. A white sheet is laid at that time of the recitation to honor their presence. This is in their Ruh and their Dhat. And the people of fat'h (spiritual success) are able to behold their faces and direct ones attention to their noble countanence.

This is why such restriction was put on the visitation to other walis for the sake of spiritual gain. For if one is rewarded for being in the companionship with the Beloved and the four Khalifas and Shaykh Tijani. was else is needed to gain from making visitation to other Awliya for spiritual gain? But one may visit another saint or any person for the sake of Allah's pleasure, for this is something that is outlined in the Shariah.

This fadl is one of the enoblements of this way. And why the daily wazifah is pushed so, is for one to be written as one who has met for zikr on a daily basis only for the sake of Allah and also to be in the presence of the most delightful company.

Inshallah
