An Easy Way to Approach Allah
You have written about the connection of the heart: it
is called 'Rabita-e- Sheikh' (connection to the Sheikh).
One companion of our Blessed Holy Prophet says that, '
O my master(the Holy Prophet )although outwardly I am
away from you but your blessed face remains before my
eyes.'The stronger the connection the more is the Faiz of
our Blessed Holy Prophet . This is the easiest way of
approaching Allah Almighty. May Allah Almighty save us
from the evil of 'Nafs' and grant us ability to obey Him.You
should say three rosaries(Tasbeeh) Kalima Sharif. |

Bait is a Sunnah of the Holy Prophet
The concept of Bait (oath of allegiance) in Tareeqat is
a Sunnah of our Beloved Holy Prophet It was a way of
repenting one's sins at the door-step of the Holy Prophet
. Whosoever embraces this will become attached to the
Holy Prophet and come under the protection of Allah
Almighty in this world and the Hereafter.
"Whosoever gets attached to a Pir, He has held the
fold of Holy Prophet in fact, The hand of Murshid is that of
the Holy Prophet, The hand of Rasool Allah is that of
Allah Almighty."
The real object is Allah Almighty, all the rest are the
means created by Allah Himself. In fact, these are the
ways which afford Marafat (true understanding of Allah) of
Allah Almighy.Dear son, remember this humble person in
your prayers so that, may Allah Almighty not see our
deeds but for the sake of His attributes of 'Mercifulness'
and 'Benevolence', make us one of His own. Amin!
It is Imperative to Earn Honest Living
All praises are for Allah Almighty Who has taken the
responsibility of providing sustenance to everyone.
Whether one tries or not, Allah will surely arrange for his
provision. The attributes of Allah are everlasting like His
Eternal Being. But we have to think what is our
responsibility. Imam Rabbani Hazrat Mujadid Alf Sani,
Sheikh Ahmad Sirhandi says, if someone thinks that he
earns and eats, and if he does not do anything, how he
will while away his life, this person is a Mushrik
(unbeliever) who has assumed the title of ' Sustainer'. But
this doesn't mean we should not do anything. Then why
do we work to earn our living? The Blessed Holy Prophet
says, 'the one who earns his living is a friend of Allah.'
Allah Almighty doesn't like an idle and lazy person and
befriends who labours hard to make his living. This is why
we work hard but, we ought to be mindful about the
commands of Allah Almighty and His Beloved Holy
Prophet .Allah Almighty never forgets His servant, it is we
that stumble and detract from the right path. But on
sincere repentance, He forgives our faults and failings.
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Book, 'O My Beloved
Prophet say to My servants, the birds that sit in the
branches of trees in the night have nothing to eat for the
next day.But they truly rely on Me that I would fill their
bellies the next day. O My Beloved Prophet if My servants
bank upon Me like this, I will provide them sustenance
from the place unknown to them.'So it is clear that in
order to become a friend of Allah, we have to work
hard.Allah Almighty do not like His servant being idle.May
Allah Almighty bless us more than our thinking. |

Wahdat Al-Wajood and Wahdat Al-Shahood.
My dearest son Moaz Ahmad, you have described
your spiritual states which are an immense source of
pleasure for me. My dear son, these are the Anwarat
(plural of Noor) which Allah Almighty bestows on His
special beings. You have seen Noor of Allah in every
thing. There are two schools of Sufia Ikram about the
nature of this phenomenon: Wahdat Al-Wajood and
Wahdat Al-Shahood. The people of our Silsila Alia
(Naqshbandia) believe in Wahad Al-Shahood, which
means every thing has the Noor of Allah or every thing
reflects the Noor of Allah. The people of the other school
misunderstood that Noor and named it Allah. They took
every part of existence as Allah though how an infinite
Existence can permeate a finite body.
Satan Overpowers due to negligence of Zikr
My dear son, this Satan never spares anyone on
negligence of Zikr, where do we stand? Our Beloved Holy
Prophet says, ' a fish never gets trapped so long as it
remembers Allah. When it overlooks, it gets caught.
Similarly a bird is never hunted until it remembers Allah.
When it forgets, hunter hunts it'. In the same way Satan
can not overpower anyone unless he remembers Allah.
May Allah Almighty save us from the disease of
negligence of Zikr. |

To see parents with love is equivalent to Maqbool
(accepted) Hajj
My dear son, it is reported in Hadith Mubarak of our
Beloved Holy Prophet that once the Holy Prophet was
sitting in the company of his companions. He said,
'whosoever looks at his parents with love, he will be given
reward of a Maqbool (accepted by Allah) Hajj.' One
companion said, ' O prophet of Allah! If we see our
parents hundred times a day, will we be given reward of a
hundred Maqbool Hajj?' The Holy Prophet said, ' O my
dear companion, the Blessing of Allah has no limit, Allah
Almighty will give you a reward of hundred Hajj.''My dear
son, parents are a kind of reflection of blessing of
Allah. They should be valued and respected because their
prayers for their children never turned unaccepted. |

Why is it Necessary to ask for Zikr?
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Book, , "ask men of
Zikr if you don't know"As it happens in our daily life, we
go to a doctor if we have any ailment or disease.
Similarly we are commanded to look for men of Zikr for
our spiritual and heart diseases. But it should be
remembered that there might be some people who
prescribe medicine and are not qualified for doing it. By
law, this is an offence and entails punishment. So, we
should look for some qualified doctor who has been
assigned this duty to prescribe remedy for the sick
people. My dear son, how can we prescribe remedy
ourselves to save Iman? Some people do' Wazaif' and
harm themselves and Some other lose their mental
balance. This is why, it is necessary to get permission of
Zikr from an authentic person. An authentic or reliable
person is the one who has sat in the company of a
vicegerent or deputy of the Holy Prophet and got the
Noor.In a domain of a king there might be more educated
and handsome people but authority will be exercised by
whom king chooses. The Holy Prophet brought the name
of Allah Almighty in this world. The one who possesses
this inheritance will transfer this inheritance of Zikr Allah.
This thing moves step by step. The way worldly
inheritance goes to children, spiritual inheritance is
transferred to spiritual offspring. |

The State of Restlessness in Love
You have written that in love heart suffers
restlessness, but in my heart a state of calmness is
overcoming. I would say that when a river gushes from a
point, it gives out a lot of noise but later the same river
flows steadily without any disturbance. Every flowing
water no doubt becomes noisy and uproarious when it
makes it passage. When it takes it course, then flows
without any trouble. The same is the case of a Salik (the
one who travels the spiritual path). As Allah Almighty
advances my son, the heart will find more peace and
serenity, but the moment you step on the next stage, the
heart will feel the same restlessness again and you move
ahead in this agitation of the heart.
Its example can be given like this. A pair of oxen is
put before a cart, and the cart is standing on a place
where there is no metalled road. In order to move, the
oxen will exert more and their bodies will become
restless for a while. The man who is tending these oxen
will also clamour. When this pair of oxen come on the
plain road, they will move steadily. The moment the cart
plunges in a ditch on the road, these oxen once again
become agitated and restless. After crossing the ditch
their pace again becomes steady. The Salik in his
spiritual journey experiences the same state. May Allah
Almighty help you pass every step leading towards the
destination by His Blessing and Grace. We only say to
our Lord:
"I have nothing to do with anybody except Your Zikr,
Your Name, Your Remembrance and your thinking." |

Making Friends with the Greatest
My dear son, making friends with great people need
to make one's heart big. The religious sages say that
those who make friends with people of camels have big
gates of their houses. When Allah has chosen for His
Love, then be ready to burn the heart and soul because
the traveller of this way has to burn everything to ashes.
If you feel any change, it will be because of Zikr and
reflection of the attributes of Allah.
1- The fire of love is burnt with fuel of bones. Only the
lovers sit and warm themselves with this firebrand,
2- Behold! How the lovers (of Allah) chop their heart and
soul with the saw of pain and grief, and roast it on
fire,
3- These lovers (of Allah) drink blood of their own liver
and wander about in utter amazement,
4- O Bahu! There had been thousands of lovers, but'
Ishiq' (love of Allah) lorn is destined to be one, the
fortunate one."
The journey is long, the object is The Exalting One
and the weathers of the way ever change. Sometime one
has to pass through thick thorny jungles where
bloodthirsty beasts want to snap his Iman across his
way. That's why Hazrat Maulana Rume says, before
setting on this journey, one needs to have a guide who
knows the path and help him out in the times of trouble.
Hazrat Sultan Bahu puts it in these words:
"1- (O Salik) if you aspire for (the secret of The One)
then follow your Murshid Kamil and massage his
underfoot,
2- (this way of Marafat is traversed by sight) When
Murshid casts his eye, all the buds (of desires) will
bloom in to flowers,
3- Among these flowers of desires, there should be a
flower of Lala (tulip) that's every petal hides the
secretes of Marafat,
4- O Bahu! (Those who left the way of Marafat and)
sunder the friends into two groups and adopted
hypocrisy) will be deprived (of Marafat) in this world
and the Hereafter." |

Relishing Zikr
My dear son, you have written about state of your
Zikr. When Allah Almighty grants His special blessings
everything remembers Him with its own tongue. When
there is an echo of Allah, Allah! Everywhere, how can one
be oblivious of His Zikr? This man of Allah is gifted with
Zikr assembly from all around. Whosoever attends the
oblivious and forgetful, he also becomes forgetful. And the
one who sits with men of Zikr also becomes Zakir. A man
of Marafat rightly said:
"1- The company of the forgetful makes you oblivious
and the company of Zakir make you Zakir,
2- O my son, keep yourself away from the forgetful; O
Zakir, these are all your enemies."
Pir-o-Murshid of this humble person, Hazrat Qabila
Sayidi Murshdi Sohna Sian often used to read these
verses,
"I wish I may forget every thing in your remembrance;
this heart may brim with your thought and call you only,
How sweet is the Zikr that it makes my whole being
delightful; I wish my every passing breath turn in to Zikr
Allah."
That is, when my last time approaches, I hand over
my last breath to you these last moments (breaths) turn
in to Your Zikr. May Allah Almighty grant us a grain out of
this blessings,Ameen. |

Atrocity and its Kinds
Allah Almighty in the Holy Book praises those who
forgive and are kind. You have asked about those who
perpetrate cruelty. There are three kinds of atrocious
people.
The one who commits sins and inflict cruelty on his
'self'. This man will be punished by Allah Almighty in the
Hereafter. If this man is preached and put on the path of
righteousness, this will be a kind of kindness and
benevolence to him.
The second kind of atrocious person is the one who
invites others to foul and evil deeds. This man commits
evil deeds himself and shows this sinful path to others.
He not only inflicts cruelty on his own 'self' but on the
lives of other people also. It will be a kind of help to stop
him from this rebellion against God.
Third kind of atrocious person is the one who usurps
the property of other people unlawfully or harasses
others. It will be an act of compassion if he is stopped.
In a Haidth Mubarak, the Holy Prophet says,"help the
wrong-doer and the wronged." The companions asked it
is understandable to help the wronged, but how could one
help the wrongdoer? The Blessed Holy Prophet said,' it
would be a kind of help to evildoer if you stop him
from
committing cruelty on others.' |

Sincerity is a Criterion to Judge the Value of Deeds
People lack the wealth of sincerity these days. My
dear son, our beloved Holy Prophet says, "if my
companion gives one Saha (a measuring unit of weight
commonly used in the times of the Holy Prophet and
before) barley or date in charity; the later can not emulate
him even if they give in charity gold equal to the mountain
Oudh."The reason as told by the Holy Prophet , is the
sincerity in the actions of his blessed companions that
will be missing in the deeds of the later people. The
reason is simple, because the person who was purifying
their hearts was the Beloved of Allah Hazrat Muhammad
.So my dear son, the value of an action depends on the
degree of sincerity with which it is done and sincerity in
actions is the fruit of purification of heart. You are
fortunate enough to have the company of sincere and
God-fearing friends. May Allah Almighty bestow the whole
of your family with this blessing.
Purification of Self is a Binding Obligation
You have inquired about the daily prayers. You can
memorize them. But besides Salat-al-Tasbeeh, if you can
not offer Nawafal regularly, you need not put yourself in
trouble. Whenever you find free time, try to do Zikr and
Muraqaba. This all is important because purification of
self is a binding obligation, which is accomplished with
this action. Remember that obligatory prayers are
seventy times more important than the Nawafal.
Steadiness (on the path of righteousness) is
foremost than Karamat
My dear son, Hazarat Pir-n-Pir Sheikh Abdual Qadir
Jillani says, the steadiness on the path of righteousness
is important than Karamat. It's a big achievement when
you find yourself in the same condition. When
surroundings around you do not encourage sin and
disobedience, it is easier to keep yourself clean from the
taint of sin. But if one changes with the change of
circumstances, this vacillation must not step in. Our
Murshid Karim Hazrat Abdul Khaliq Khadgwani has given
us the best guidance in this regard. He says, the Salik
(truth seeker or devotee) should act upon and ,despite
being part of a company should remain apart from it. The
people of company are busy in their own while he is
occupied in the remembrance of Allah. This man inspite
of being sitting with people is apart from them. With the
blessing of Allah, Satan can not over-power him. The
second lesson, " " that the Salik should keep an eye on
every step lest he is not committing any error. If he sees
forgetfulness or negligence on his part, he should
concentrate on Zikr. Finding the thought of Allah Almighty
in the heart, he should be thankful to Him. |

The Way of Those Who have been Bestowed with
the Grace of Allah
All praises are for Allah Who has shown us the Right
Path. This is the way that He showed to the men of His
Grace. In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says that the
men whom He bestowed with His Grace are of three
kinds:
1- The prophets,
2- Saddiquein, (The truthful and sincere)
3- The martyrs,
4-Saleheen
When the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad was
asked as who these Salehheen were. He recited the
following verse of the Holy Quran:
"Behold! Verily on the friends of Allah
(Auliya Allah) there is no fear, nor shall
they grieve. (10:62) |

A Commentary on Imam Mehdi
Hazrat Imam Medhi is a Wali Allah in the Ummah of
the Holy Prophet .The Holy Prophet says about him that
he(Imam Mehdi) will appear near the time of Day of
Judgement.During the time of Imam Medhi Deen Islam
will be glorified and spread far and wide over the earth.
Our Beloved Holy Prophet has praised many of Wali Allah
in his Ummah. For example, the Holy Prophet said about
our Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Imam Rabbani Mujadid Alf Sani
that, 'after one thousand years of my death, a man of my
name will take birth and revive my dead Deen'. Besides
this Our Pir-o-Murshid Hazrat Imam Rabbani said that it
was revealed to him that Imam Mehdi would appear in
Silsila Naqshbandia and propagate our way. It is our best
luck that we have been blessed with this Silsila.
Hazrat Isa (Jesus) is a prophet of Allah. Allah
Almighty accepted his prayer that he might be insurrected
in the Ummah of the Last Prophet. Allah Almighty says in
the Holy Quran that when the people tried to kill Hazrat
Isa he was not killed but saved. He was neither hanged
nor killed but Allah Almighty took him to the heavens alive.
The Holy Prophet says that Hazrat Isa will also descend
from the heavens in Syria and people will see him
descending down with their own eyes. He will offer his
prayer behind Hazrat Imam Medhi and embrace the credit
of being a follower of the Holy Prophet by saying Kalima
of the Holy Prophet .It is Hazrat Isa who will kill Dajjal, the
unbeliever. |

About Jinns
Allah Almighty created jinns even before the creation
of angles and human beings. They can change their
shapes, as Allah Almighty has granted them this ability to
transform themselves in any form and shape they like. It
is a Divine Wisdom that we can not see them. It is
notable that evil is more dominant in Jinns and their
figures are frightening and ugly. They wilfully make their
shapes fearsome. That's why Allah Almighty, in order to
save human beings from their evil, has hidden these
Jinns from the eye of human beings. But whenever they
are seen or they harm anyone, it happens only because
of violation of any injunction of Shariah. For example our
Beloved Holy Prophet has forbidden urinating on desolate
and inhabited places because Jinns live in such places
which are far from inhibited areas. The Holy Prophet says
that before entering a toilet, we should recite the following
prayer:
"O Allah I seek thy refuge against the evil
things."
The evil things like Jinns eat filth. By reciting this
prayer, we get the refuge of Allah.
Injunctions about singing Songs
You have asked about singing songs. I would like to
say if verses in praise of Allah and the Holy Prophet
becomes forbidden if sung with musical instruments, then
what to say about obscene and immoral verses, that
arose sexual emotions in the heart, and lead astray from
the right path. This is an act of Satan.Once our Beloved
Holy Prophet heard the sound of a lute, he inserted his
fingers in his ears till the voice stopped coming. The Holy
Prophet said that one of the signs of The Day of
Judgement is that voices of songs will come out from
every house. In order to save oneself, one should not pay
attention and have hatred about them in heart, whenever
come across them in life. For example,if the voice of
songs is coming from the neighbour's house or from the
street while moving through it, one should mind his own
business and feel hate about it in his heart because Allah
Almighty knows the states of the hearts. |
