PICTURE OF SHEIKHS???
is it allowed or not?

anyone have full information because there are various daleels regaurding pictures in islam, can someone fill me in?

Salam alaykum sister,
It may be a good idea to ask the shaykh first, as from what i know he does not usually allow his picture to be taken let alone distributed.

salam,
ok. i think you can get some good answers to that by doing a search on sunnipath answers. There are two opinions, both are strong. I think the shaykh discusses them in detail in one of the suhba's can't quite recall which at the moment.
When the shaykh came to my town he requested people not take pictures but there were still people taking pics with mobiles, inshallah people will respect his wishes

Assalaamu alaikum,
Were you referring to keeping a picture of Sheikh Nuh? He strongly discourages pictures in general, and has mentioned specifically that he never kept a picture of his sheikh, Abd ar-Rahman. Unlike some branches of the Naqshbandi tariqa, the Shadhilis generally don't keep pictures of their sheikh. Allah is the goal.

Allah is the goal for all tariqa even if their way and methodology are different. So i dont understand the meaning of this sentence. |
