This is a great loss for Islam in general and the tariqa in particular. Shaykh Hasan literally spent his life serving the needs of people worldwide. He cared for the sick, needy, oppressed, orphaned, on top of his work for the spiritual needs of millions across the world.

It is reported from authentic sources that Shaykh Hasan led Isha salat at the masjid and then went home. At home he told one of the students there to come in to his room. He bought out some sheets and told him that I want to be buried in these sheets when I pass away. And here is also a prayer of Shaykh Ahmad Tijani that I want to be read when im buried.

He passed away that same night at the age of 63

May Allah increase his happiness while in the companionship of our Prophet, Sidina Shaykh Tijani, and Shaykh Ibrahim in the highest of Paradise.

I' m very sad for the death of the waliu-Llah Shaykh Hassan Cissè Sad .
May Allah reward him with the best of the recompense, and may all the muslims follow his model in the service of God, of Seyyiduna the Prophet, and Seyyiduna the Shaykh.

Imam Hassan was and would continue to be a great leader and spiritualist.we in Ghana have really been made orphans. this was a man who would do all it takes to help you intelectually, spiritually and even financially.it was always joy to have Imam Hassan around.

the first time i met Imam, i asked my self; is this the Khalifa of Maulana al-hajj Ibrahim Niasse? brother, the man is down to earth and approachable by all and sundry.this is a man who hardly had enough sleep just because he was attending to the needs of the creations of ALLAH.

the night died, i woke up at about 11pm and felt very uneasy thus could not sleep again till i went to the mosque to say my prayers after which i was able to sleep for about thirty minutes. in this sleep of mine, i had a vision i had been given two different bad information which made me very sad. i woke up, got ready and left for work. i was in the office when a friend called me to inform me of the death of her sister's (who is also good friend) son.this was a boy i loved a lot. on hour later, a fellow sufi called me and the first question he asked me was; is it true? i asked him what he meant, to which he realised i was confused and said he will call me later. i called a fellow brother only to be told in the face of the journey of our beloved Imam Hassan. may he rest in peace. to Imam, i say; take care of the other world for us and we shall take care of the world for you Insha-ALLAH.

[size=24]With great remorse i join uncountable murid of faydah ibraheemiya to sympathize with fellow murid of Shaykh Hassan Cisse RA on his eventful transition to the unseen but i know one thing for certain that his presence will always be felt by his lovers. i commemorate and pray for his most immediate family that God will for ever shower his blessings on him and his household and also grant them the fortitude to bear the reality of the absence of his physical presence. i know that he has just removed one garment and taken up another, may God in his infinite mercies grant us murid he left behind his unrelenting rahma. amin. signing out household of olodo ibadan (lagos base). most pathetic and lowest beggar.

AL Hamdulillah,

Allahuma Salli Ala Sayidina Muhammad al Fatihi al Khatimi wa al Hadi illa Sirataqal Mustaqeem
as Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barkatahu

I write this letter as an ode to our Imam and Guide to the door of the Prophet Sidina Shaykh Hasan Cisse (may Allah be pleased with him), I also wanted to write this short page as a letter to all those who knew but especially for those who never had the opportunity to meet Shaykh Hasan Cisse.

Shaykh Hasan in the best of words was a "muslim". A complete muslim which believed in Allah and His Prophet but also a helper of the Ummah as if it was his child. Shaykh Hasan was definitely a knower of Allah and a lover of the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in all his states and all circumstances.

Shaykh Hasan was a special wali of Allah and a special guide to the Divine Presence. He never spoke about himself and his abundant qualities. Rather all that came out of his mouth was "Allah said" or the "Prophet said" or "Shaykh Ahmad Tijani said" or "Shaykh Ibrahim, my grandfather said". Shaykh Hasan was a direct inheritor of Allah on this earth, an inheritor of the Prophet, and an inheritor of Shaykh Ahmad Tijani, and of course an inheritor of his grandfather Shaykh Ibrahim. He was not the type of inheritor in which you would hear about his secrets and his specialties in wilaya.

Rather if you only was able to go to his house you would think you are in Medina the Enlightened during the time of the Prophet himself (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) for you will come to him and you will always see him smiling. No matter how exhausted from his travels or the business of his schedule, you will always be greeted with a smile by him and he would always treat you as if you was his only favorite.

If you go to his house you would see gatherings and gatherings of people ALWAYS at his door seeking their needs answered. This occurance is like clockwork 24/7, some people seeking council, some people seeking dua, some people seeking administration, some people are calling him on the phone from somewhere in the world, some people are seeking food, and others just seeking to sit in his presence. All these mentioned things would happen at the same time during the whole day. For it is said that one of the proofs of a wali is that Allah will place him in the midst of people as a source of relief for them.

I remember when I was in Medina Baye for Mawlid which is a gathering of hundreds of thousands of people every where from every quarter in the world coming together to celebrate the honor of our Beloved Prophet (may the peace and salutations of Allah be upon him). I would see groups of people that just arrived in Medina Baye from Mauritania, Gambia, Libya, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, and other places and they knew no one or didnt have a place to stay or eat.
They knew and everyone knew that you could always find hospitality in the house of Shaykh Hasan. You and they knew that you would be fed and taken care of properly. your name would be remembered by him in only one greeting and he would never forget you or your voice.

After every prayer you can come to his house and see the poor and the distitute outside his gates seeking money in order to survive. And he would always give what he had for them. And his gate was the home of many poor ones and if you saw this it would remind you of the Ahlil Suffa (people of the bench).

Shaykh Hasan was also one of the friendliest and open people you will ever have known for he was never too busy to speak with you. There arent many shuyukh that have millions of students worldwide and if anyone of them call him after giving salaam to him he would know your voice and ask you how you are, ask about your family, and ask about the loved ones near to you.

Shaykh Hasan never slept a lot. He was always busy serving people and this was his life, literally. He was always traveling for the sake of Islam and service to the world. His life from his own words was but a mission for Islam. His mission including bringing Islam and the Tariqa to people that were never visited by any shaykh of islam or tasawuf. Shaykh Hasan visited the poorest and most dangerous cities and neighborhoods for the sake of visiting his brothers in Islam and Tariqa at a time when others men of knowledge were in their own respective cities where Islam has flourished for centuries.

Whenever anyone spoke of wanting to leave the land of non muslims to go to the land of muslims he would always give his opinion in the matter and promote this for learning sake. But he always taught that one of the foundations of being a good muslim is to serve your community and people by giving dawah of Islam to the non muslim people. He used to say "If you leave America and go live in a muslim land who then would you give shahada to"?

He was an ocean of knowledge for he was a master in the knowledge of Quran and Hadith and the books of the uluma. Shaykh Hasan could teach and quote from books from memory and had a sense of fresh knowledge developed from his clean heart and humbleness. His teaching emphasized brotherhood, loving and visiting your brother in Islam and Tariqa, seeking knowledge, respect for elders, and having good manners. These qualites are what you will see in his students today wherever in the world where you may see them.

Of course not one page of writing could speak of one of Shaykh Hasans qualities. But i just wanted to write something short to give the reader who have not met Shaykh Hasan to have a small idea of his daily life and what he meant to many many many people. may Allah be pleased with him and may we be in his company and the company of our Prophet Muhammad (may peace and prayer be upon him) and Sidina Shaykh Ahmad Tijani in this world and the next.

Sallam Alaikum,

I will like to share a little i know about Shaykh Hassan Cisse R.T.A. There was a time my dad sent him an email from Nigeria. May dad has never met him physically. Shaykh replied him within 3 days. Even taking time to ask one of his murid Shaykh OLODO R.T.A in Ibadan that do you know this person? He replied my dad through his email and also through Shaykh OLODO R.T.A. I wondered as busy has he was, he still had time to reply people through emails not to talk of through phone calls. HE IS A GREAT MAN. Ive never met me physically but can't numbered the times we ve met in ruhyah. I love Shaykh Hassan Cisse R.T.A so much.

May Almight Allah grant him more LIGHT .

Masallam
