Some more info about the House Dhikr in Maida Vale;

It’s a family house, there is a double big room were we all sit, the atmosphere is very friendly and family feeling.! Families and well as single brothers and sisters all participate in the Dhikr.
It starts at 8.00-30pm with either Salat Marghrib, which of course Now is at 9pm, the noble Khatm-ul-Khwajagan Dhikr is read, we start with salawat ala rasul and finish as we started with salawat ala rasul the duration is about 35-40mins of spiritual meditation.
Its lead by Brother Nadim with his beautiful voice who is also the leader singer of (qasidahs and Nasheeds group). As we be start reciting salawat, our voices slowly start echoing over the silent near-dark room, in the dark night with our dark sins and burdens of life slowly lift up heavenly lights seem to fill the air and our hearts.
As our hearts start to awaken to the rhythmical chanting, thus a dialogue of communication is yearned with our Lord. The Hearts are asked first to connect with the Shaykhs and this is called Rabita shareef –Bonding with the shaykh (your hear keep you hearts and mind with the shaykh softly)
From connecting to the hearts of our Shaykhs to their Shaykhs all the way back to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him 1000 times) is this silsilah made pure and unbroken a pure link, a link to a heavenly source of knowledge.!
And thus in the darkness of the room, in the darkness of night and in the darkness of he sins and thoughts do we connect to a Heavenly Light, a source of guide, a source of forgiveness and source of hope a source of mar’fiah- spiritual heavenly knowledge/ recognition.
The session of sufic mediation comes to a end with a conclusion of Duas, requesting our needs to be fulfilled and beseeching with ardent love through the Wasilah of the Shaykhs for Dua-Mustajabun – duas that are Answered ,through the Barakah of Wisilah- intersession of the Shaykhs and there Maqam and Karamat- Miracles of their Heavenly connection with the Heavenly Lord of the Worlds and the Lord who is the True Friends of Saints.!
Finally after drink heavenly Lights, a fine meal is served fit for Kings and Queens from our beloved host and hostess Brother Aslam and sister Shanaz.!

So hearts will not be corrected until the ma'rifah of Allâh - being in awe of Him, loving Him, fearing Him, relying and trusting in Him, hoping in Him - is not firmly implanted in them.)
Development of the mystical awareness of God to consist of four successive stages.!
Firstly, the purification of one's outer life through the shar'iah (law).
Secondly, the purification of one's inner life through the tariqah (mystical path).
Thirdly, the attainment of a state of closeness to God in one's everyday life (haqiqah). Fourthly, the realisation of God's presence through ma'rifah (interior knowledge).
One of the means used by Islamic mystical orders to progress to a deeper awareness of God is through ritual prayer (dhikr, which means "remembrance") and derives from the Qur'anic injunction "And remember God often" (62:10). This consists of a repetition of one or all of the beautiful names of God, or of certain religious formula such as the Islamic profession of faith: There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet."
