Alhamdulillah! I have made contact with a Tijani muqaddam here in the states, Hajj Ashaki Taha-Cisse and have been allowed to enter the Tariqa and begin saying the wird and wazifah.Today is the first day I have, with the blessing and permission of the Tariqa, prayed on Allah's Messenger sallalahu alayhi wa sallam with the Salaatul Fathihi. Alhamdulillah!

Insha'allah, someday maybe I will be able to join with the brothers for wazifah and the Friday gathering.

If any brothers here have any advice regarding the wird and basics of working towards being a Tijani I would be grateful.
I don't think there are any Tijanis where I live, the closest probably being Colorado, so any association with the brothers would be appreciated.

Insha'allah maybe a move will be in the works for me in the future. Tasawwuf is frowned upon and not encouraged at the Masjid here, I don't expect that to change anytime soon. It would be good to be around fellow Tijanis at some point.

I'll give you the same advise I got 6 years ago....Patience and Consistency.
Base your day around Salat,Wird and Wazifah. Serve people and Allah will take care of all things.
When I was told that it seemed too simple (as I was young and stupid)
It took me a while but Insha'Allah....It got through my thick skull!
