As an introduction to the two day healing workshops, Sufi Master Taner will give a free introductory talk on Sufi healing.

In a rare visit to the UK, Sufi Master Taner Ansari, head of the Qadiri-Rifai Sufi Order, gives a complete introduction to complementary Sufi healing.
This transcultural method of healing is taught by Sufi Master Taner Ansari, who has healed countless ailments. This course is offered to those who are medical providers, chiropractic doctors, massage therapists, yoga teachers, reiki practitioners, and those interested in spreading health and well-being. This is a continuing education course with credits pending.

The workshop has been successfully offered in the US, Europe and South Africa and was last held in London in January 2007.
Day one gives an overview of Sufi healing and the tools that are used. Day two is a more hands-on exploration of treatments. Sufi Master Taner will be available for personal healing consultations and healings after the workshops and on Monday 10 September 2007. The sessions can address physical, psychological, or spiritual problems.

Day One is an introduction to healing, causes of illnesses, diagnosis and diagnosis techniques, cleansing, and techniques of healing.
Price of the workshop includes lunch and a copy of “Alternative Healing: The Sufi Way”.

2:00 – 6:30 Healing Workshop: Day Two
Day Two explores specific treatments for cancer, diabetes, kidney problems, stress-related illnesses, etc.; using the names of Allah; spiritual geometry (taweez); and inculcations (talqin). There are even delicious soup recipes for immune-system boosting!

Sufi zikr is the traditional ceremony of remembrance of God's names. They are often passionate rituals, using chanting, hymns, sacred movements and the rhythm of the daf (frame-drum). The Qadiri-Rifai zikr is a particularly powerful zikr which dates back many centuries.

ABOUT SUFI MASTER TANER ANSARI

Sufi Master Taner Ansari was born in Tarsus, Turkey, to a devout Muslim family of Seyyids, descendants of Prophet Muhammad. He completed his university studies in Michigan, where he helped found the Muslim Students Association of the United States and Canada. He was initiated into the Qadiri Rifai Sufi Order in Istanbul under Shaykh Muhyiddin Ansari, from whom he received his license to teach Sufism. His spiritual lineage also includes the Naqshbandi, Mevlevi, and Bektashi orders. Sufi Master Taner accepted leadership of the Islamic Sufi Order of Qadiri Rifai Tariqa of the Americas after the passing of Shaykh Muhyiddin's successor, Shaykh Nuruddin Ozal. He teaches Sufism throughout the United States and abroad. Sufi Master Taner regularly publishes articles on spiritual topics, with plans to publish books in translation from the Arabic of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Geylani and Shaykh Ahmed er Rifai. He lives in New York State, where he teaches privately and holds regular lectures and zikr, the congregational Sufi service. His website is
