Assalamu 'aleykum

I'm new in this noble Tariqa and I don't know how a murid have to act in cas eof a grave sin. It is necessary to renew the pact? And if there is no muqaddam, how is possible to renew it?

Jazakakum Allah!

Wassalam

Salaam,

Sins dont break the pact of Islam. So they also dont break the pact of Tariqa. Also while in the act of them, the person is no longer muslim. but after the act and repenting for it they are muslim. in a sense only ones self can put one outside of Islam or Tariqa. Only if he openly retracts his beliefs in Allah, the Prophet, and basic tenets of faith is one outside of Islam.

The same for tariqa, only if he openly retracts his beliefs is the tariqa, and his heart is elsewhere, and he doesnt practice the awrad and the tenets of the tariqa, and he has left from it and its people intentionally. then he is outside of the tariqa and has broken the pact.

What one must do after a grave sin is to REPENT to Allah. Ask for forgiveness and repent to Allah.

Only announces ones love of the tariqa no more, or stopping the awrad and the wazaif, and leaving them completely, are the things that put one as an outsider of tariqa.

the connection to the Prophet through Shaykh Tijani is through his love and through the practicing of the awrad and wazaif.

I advice myself and others not to concentrate on what breaks the rope. But rather concentrating on what keeps the rope strong. One way of doing this if not in the physical presence of a muqaddam is to always send salawat to the Prophet and then give the reward for such recitation to Shaykh Ahmad Tijani. One must know that the Prophet and Shaykh Tijani are always with us. The treads of his great himma is forever with you as long as your heart is sincerely pointed toward him. and you practice the awrad and the wazaif with his presence in mind. This is a tariqa of love and thankfulness. Inshallah we all hope to benefit from such distinguished association.

JAzaka Allah Khayran. I will do what you suggest, loving our master and guide, Sidi Ahmad Abu al-Abbas al-Tijani.

May Allah guide us on this Noble Ahmadi-Muhammadi Path!
